What a relief, recently the Shen Neng 1 finally left Hervey Bay after being towed there to have its coal cargo offloaded in what was a risky operation in one of the most delicate and important marine environments in Australia. I thought we had a government that was trying to do something responsible about the environment, but our prime minister Mr Kevin Rudd has done a backflip on his proposed Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme until 2013. Wow, I just used the WWF biological footprint calculator to calculate my personal biological footprint on this earth and it frightened me! Whilst I may not be top of the list, the amount of land and water I need to sustain my way of living, is still a massive amount.
